Marseille is a drifty city cut across the Mediterranean. Weaving a melting pot of food, architecture and simple pleasures suited for all walks of life, Marseille boasts cinematic crevasses and crumbling beauty that lay the foundation for a beautiful weekend of wonder and wander. Guy wants baguette and strong espresso. Aurore just returned from the market. The downstairs bathroom & shower in the three-story flat includes a secret door for a post Mediterranean feet-cleaning. Eggs and toast, and a bowlful of fruit. Later on, the Le Corbusier résidence tells a Modernist tale of livable edifices and interior hallways where legends once roamed. Marseille, our time was short and sweet. But I’m coming back for you.
